Ive been recommissioned.

I’m no longer a racer. A missionary. An evangelist.
I am daughter who’s been sent on a mission.

It’s simple. He calls us to go. That doesn’t necessarily mean overseas. Being a missionary could be in a 3rd world country, your back yard, or your local Walmart. They’re are broken hurting people in need of a savior all over the world- over here and over there.
Jesus said over and over come be my disciple. He doesn’t tell you a specific place to be a disciple.
Matthew 28 says GO. We can’t ignore this command.
Jesus discipled disciples who made disciples.
So that’s what we need to do.

Corinthians refers to us the church as the body of Christ, like the human body there is one body but many parts, each designed to perform a specific function. The eye does not do the job of a foot, and the foot does not do the job of a hand. Each part is specifically and intricately designed to be in particular place to do a certain job.
In this body some of us are called to GO and some are called to send.
If we are going to take the gospel to the nations both parts need to work together for one common purpose.

Jesus has empowered us with his Holy Spirit to be agents of love, hope, healing, reconciliation, liberty, peace, and joy. We are called and sent by Jesus into all of the world to spread his love and his light.
Following Him means going to them.
I’m not prepared to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into a harvest I myself am not willing to go to. I am committed to living my life on mission to play my part to fulfill the great commission.

People have asked me if I’ve given up my life in radiology. NO. I have simply put it on hold for now. God is taking my life in an unexpected new direction, and I’m just saying yes. The hospital used to be my mission field, now my mission field is Gainesville GA- in school, the gas station, and every store I step into. My assignment where ever I go is to be Jesus to someone.

Missions aren’t just over seas opportunities. To live missional is to be Jesus to your divorced neighbors, your local farmers, or Walmart clerks , maybe it’s your colleagues, your parents, or the kids you baby sit. People all around us are looking to feel loved, needed, and accepted.

That is what I am doing. This new program is going to enable me to work, allow me to experience healthy community and dive into discipleship and leadership training. It will teach me how to foster a healthy living environment and lead in humility.

I am doing this because I choose to.
I don’t have to I get to.
You can join me as a local missionary by supporting prayerfully and financially. This is worth investing in. This generation is sold out for living and loving like Jesus.

He sent us here so we could go out. This is the only way to reach the world.

Please join me as I step into this new season to learn more about leadership and discipleship that will equip me to continue long term missions whether that is stateside or overseas. God placed a burning desire in my heart to reach the homeless, the abandoned, the lost people of this world. Together we can make the difference.
Prayers are essential for all this to happen. Please pray for guidance and direction in this new chapter of life. Pray for my heart and mind to be renewed and transformed. Pray for healthy community and lots of growth. Pray that our team would be united and effective. And pray that his kingdom would be on earth as it is in heaven.

Though prayers are needed and greatly appreciated financial support is also essential. The program asks that we raise $8,650. So far I have just over $3,000.
