UPDATE! On ALL the things

I want to apologize.

I have not been the best steward of my time. I have not intentionally written letters, called, or updated people that pray for me and sponsor me financially. This is something I am hoping to get better at. I have compiled a list of updates, stories, prayer requests, and photos that I have wanted to share with you all-But I have not figured out the best method. I have played around with different sites, attempted emails, and made a brochure but I am exceptionally picky and struggle with perfectionism. I figured while I have access to a blog I should use it as a platform to keep my followers updated!

When I first moved here we were assigned to create a brochure/newsletter of some kind and send it to at least 30 people. I did not get push back, but I also did not get good feedback at my attempts. The brochure shared about where I am currently living, a brief statement about what CGA is and what I am doing here in Georgia.

If you need to be caught up…

CGA stands for center for global action. I am enrolled in a discipleship program that allows me to work part time and attend classes part time. I have grown in scripture memorization, evangelism, one on one discipleship and personal self discipline.

I attend classes Monday-Friday from early morning until noon, and go to work from noon to five. I currently work onsite at Adventures in Missions as an event coordinator. Before participants leave on one of the many trips offered here, they have to go through a training camp and launch experience. I am in charge of coordinating and executing those events. There are a lot of logistical details involved and it can be stressful-But it is rewarded to say the least. It is incredible to walk along side young people being launched into the world to go bring Kingdom. I love my job.

Class looks different on a weekly basis. We have fun activities planned, field trips, guest speakers, book studies, and great conversation. At the end of our CGA experience we will be taking a two week capstone trip to Morocco- Where we will implement the tools we’ve learned about discipleship, evangelism, and leadership.

I currently live at the Grove with our house parents Bill and Katie. They have two beautiful children Max and Ruby. There are 11 of us total. It is pretty normal everyday life- busy, messy, fun, and exciting! There is always something to look forward to. We have family nights on Monday where all of us come together to share a meal, and something fun- either a movie, game or activity of some kind. We celebrate life together, share the hard things, and act like monkeys…Literally. Max calls us his monkeys and we assume position and hop around ouuuing and ahhhing like apes- as any normal adult would. It is a blast and a breath of fresh air to be like a child again. On Friday mornings the ladies in the house come together and share our high points and low points from the week, we pray together, laugh together, and share our lives with one another.

The last few months…

I went to Kansas around Christmas to see my biggest supporters, and then flew to Maryland to see my Mama and immediate family. It was the first time in 10 years that we were all together. After Christmas my best friend from the race came to see me in GA and we rang in the New Year together with food, fun, and good friends!

The Lord showed me my word for the New Year was contentment. He wants me to be content in my singleness, content with who I am, and content with who he is and his love for me. So I am expectant of big things in 2017!

Work got kicked up a notch in January- as we launched a new batch of 150 racers overseas. Following that we welcomed home another 150! And just sent out another 73 for the next 3 months! That means I’ve been busy with a lot of emails, planning, phone calls, and organizing! But it has been fun and a blessing to be a part of. God is doing big things here in GA and in the nations.

Exciting News!

I am fully funded! Before I left for Christmas break I received word I was FULLY funded! So I thank the Lord, and all of you who have faithfully prayed and financially supported me through this Journey. Because of you I am able to advance His kingdom through discipleship, and my Job. A million Thank Yous would never be enough!

I am busy training for my first half marathon coming up in April. I am up to 5 miles without stopping-but still have a ways to go!

Prayer Requests:

My dad has been sick for a while now and will be having a much needed operation done next week. Prayers for a successful surgery, healing, and a speedy recovery would be appreciated.

My class will be going to Morocco in April like I said-However each person is required that their funds be at the $6,000 mark. I would love for all 17 of us to go without hesitation, so please pray for funds to come in allowing them to books flights and make plans! We started together, we want to end together.

As an organization and as a Church we send hundreds of Missionaries out each year. They are world changers-and they need your prayers. For provision, finances, safety, courage, boldness, direction, and endurance to run the race. Please partner with us by praying on their behalf-that through them His Kingdom would truly come on earth as it is in Heaven.

I have recently come down with a cold and sinus congestion. Satan is trying to take me out! But he can’t keep me down. Please pray for healing, and for this crud to be gone so I can be fully focused and effective in my ministry!

Thank you so much for following, supporting, and encouraging my journey! Without you and the Good Lord – none of this would be possible! If you have any questions or comments about anything going on up here in Gainesville please reach out! Peace and Blessings!
